I really like your Dylanesque version of Mailbox Money. It's a keeper! Thanks for sending it. I also like the musical accompaninent--both guitar and mandolin. Great stuff. Hope to see you Wednesday night at the Lost Souls Cafe.

Having generated a Daddy Bone-afide work of art you now qualify as a spokesman for a generation. Paparazi everywhere will be wanting to know if you will eventually be portrayed by Cate Blanchett.

Love the way you roll, as always, Daddio. As a result, I am sending you one dollah cash money to your -- you guessed it-- mailbox.

Mailbox Money is a nice tune, the track is very listener friendly, but dude - it doesn't sound anything like Dylan to my ears. Which could be a plus, depending on your point of view, and which Dylan vocals you want to consider.

I really do like the version of Mailbox Money you emailed...lyrics are simple, flowing, catchy, and of course the mandolin work is as good as your playing always is...I'm pretty f---'n impressed...when I closed my eyes I though it really WAS Robert Zimmerman's first cousin once removed...

You`re right; There is some Zappa in some of your songs - I almost waited for "Kiss my ora, Dora", listening to "Zombie mind"! I`m greeting you, once again, friend!

the kind of music that Daddy Bone plays is, in the most subjective terms: fun, folksy rhythms about what matters most in life.
i dont know if this is enough to win me a cd but i described your music as this to a bunch of my friends who wouldnt usually listen to this kind of music and they were really interested, so i think it works on a promotional level.
your music is ace.

PS...to quote you...
"your boundaries are my playground"
that perfectly describes your music...even if it is not a specific genre

great web site...
as you say yourself...your songs stretch the boundaries of one's mind...they go where no song has gone before...
and they make me laugh...
genre..."out there" comedy...
and on top of it all you are a wonderful performer....

Wow, this is so professional. Not a clue in the world how to make my own page, so I admire those who do! Good picture also. I know you say its a face only a mother can love but I think you are cute anyway (must be the smile) We have a question out here in faire land- besides your own appearance at faire, any chance of seeing the other half or any of her stuff? Inquiring minds. Her web page not so good as yours, perhaps yours checked more often? Anyway.. Hope to see you at your next coffee house gig (still voting on comedy as a genre -think Smothers Brothers!what in the heck are they??) Mary

Genre: Comedy. In the spirit of Stan Freberg
perhaps Blues in the spirit of David Bromberg
definitely Folk in the best tradition

What kind of music does Daddy Bone Play?

This is the place to leave your comment about my music. Help me figure out how to describe my music to others. What is my music about? What does it sound like? What is the genre?

Thanks for your support!
